The Georgia Piedmont Arts Center was founded 11
years ago through the far-sightedness of Buddy Ouzts
and the Winder City Council working with a core group
of practicing artists. The center, a non-profit
organization, has grown to include several annual
shows, a gallery, classes, pottery studio, private
studios, and both inside and outside kiln areas. A large
community outreach program has been implemented
with funding from the Barrow Family Connection, private
donations, civic funds and the Grassroots Arts Council.
